Sanjay Puri
graduated from the Academy of Architecture,
Mumbai in 1988 and established his firm
SANJAY PURI ARCHITECTS
in 1992. Completing an extensive range of
projects including townships, software parks,
residential buildings, retail malls, hotels and
entertainment centers, the firm strongly
believes in exploring new territories of design.
Having already executed projects totaling over
40 million sq.ft. The firm is currently involved
in over 200 projects totaling over 50 million
sq.ft. Their works have been extensively
featured in Indian and International design
magazines with over 20 international
publications in the last year including the
Phaidon Atlas of
21st CENTURY WORLD ARCHITECTURE
featuring
their projects.
In a survey by MIRVAC, two of their buildings
have been included in the 47 most exciting
architectural projects coming up in United Arab
Emirates, making them the only Indian architects
to be included in the list. The firm has won
several awards for both interior design and
architecture including
7 IIID
(Indian Institute of Interiors Designers) Awards
and
6 IIA
(Indian Institute of Architects) Awards, winning
the IIID Accomplished Practice of the year 2008
recently. For the last 4 years the firm has been
winning the
CONSTRUCTION WORLD INDIA’s TOP TEN ARCHITECTS
AWARD,
being the youngest firm to be part of this ten.
In March 2009, Sanjay Puri Architects
became the first Indian Architectural firm to
win an Award at the
INTERNATIONAL
MIPIM ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW FUTURE PROJECT AWARDS'09
held at Cannes for their office building
project, Cubes at Pune.
Their current projects include Mumbai’s largest
residential township, Evershine Global City,
with 15,000 residential apartments spread over
300 acres and TDI City, one of Delhi’s largest
residential townships spread over 1600 acres.
Currently their projects span across 43 cities
in India with a few projects in UAE.
Sanjay Puri Architects were finalist in four award categories in the
WORLD ARCHITECTURE FESTIVAL WAF, 09 at Barcelona,
which had participation from leading architectural firms worldwide.
Their recently completed Chrome Hotel in Kolkata was shortlisted in 2 categories while Triose, a food court in Lonavala was shortlisted in the Mixed use category and Bombay Arts Society at Bandra, Mumbai, currently under construction had been shortlisted in the Future Projects category.
